My French is tres mal, but todays house tour is a Paris apartment the best kind, really on Rue de Rivoli designed and renovated by Isabelle Stanislas and Leiko Oshima.

The interior design + architecture duo goes by the name of So-An. If this project is any hint, you should know they specialize in that rare mix of Parisian chic with vintage + 19th century French style in nothing but Haussmman apartments.

view of the grand staircase

Huge windows compliment the bright-white walls draped with black velvet drapes. I never thought Id approve of charcoal velvet, let alone charcoal velvet drapes, but they add to the grandeur of this apartment, dont they? The apartments color palette has a modern, graphic aesthetic to it: white walls, bright light, contrast with dark colors like black, charcoal gray and deep plum.

living room

Love this dining table constructed from salvaged wood. Organic pieces like this give the apartment a more down-to-earth feeling that I can appreciate.

eat-in kitchen

These lights in the hallway are too cool!

stairway to heaven (I mean the bedroom)

I love any space with a Serge Mouille light fixture. Youll see yet another piece constructed of salvaged wood. It nicely compliments the dark-stained and herringbone wood floors.

sitting area

This apartment is perfection! What do you guys think?
