After his first trip to Japan in 1951, George Nelson developed an incredible interest in Japanese design saying that it celebrated “a sense of fitness in the relationship between hand, material, use, and shape.”
George Nelson’s Six Drawer Miniature Chest nods to this efficiency in Japanese design and is reminiscent of Tansu, cabinets with small multiple drawers. In beautiful walnut, paired with striking white tulip legs, this chest offers a versatile and clean unit ideal for efficiently storing many small items that might otherwise clutter your home or office.
Our replica of George Nelson’s iconic piece is constructed with no compromises and features wood-on-wood glides ensuring a precise alignment as well as soft, smooth movement.
Also available in an accompanying Nine Drawer Miniature Chest.
